How it works
Each tablet of Oxithion contains 100mg of reduced L-Glutathione, which is the most powerful endogenous antioxidant we can find with anti-melanogenic properties. Glutathione is a natural antioxidant that protects our bodies from oxidative stress, inflammation and toxins.
Our skin colour is determined by the amount of melanin pigments present in the skin. There are 2 different types of melanin pigments in our skin, namely:
- Pheomelanin which are responsible for yellow-red colour
- Eumelanin which are responsible for black brown pigments
The ratio of these 2 types of pigments determines our skin colour. To achieve fairer skin, we need more pheomelanin and less eumelanin.
Glutathione, which is the main ingredient in Oxithion, has been shown to skew the production of melanin towards the lighter phaeomelanin by inhibiting an enzyme called tyrosine kinase and scavenging free radicals.
How to use
To achieve maximum benefits, allow the Oxithion tablet to completely dissolve under the tongue to allow full absorption to take place through the inner mouth lining. Do not chew or swallow the tablet.
