No. You will only feel a mild sensation of warmth during your treatment. You may also experience some very mild pink-like coloration of the skin during and just after the treatment, which will gradually fade within a few hours.

For your first treatment, determine which Facetite energy level is right for you. Spread a thin layer of Slider Gel (included) over the area you intend to treat. Start at energy level 1 and raise the energy level gradually to find the highest energy level that you are still comfortable with. Move the device in linear motions, back and forth and treat each facial area separately.

This built-in heat stabilizer measures the temperature of your skin during treatment. If the thermal sensor measures a temperature above 42°C to 43°C, the device will stop emitting heat automatically. Once the skin has cooled down sufficiently, the treatment will resume. This mechanism ensures that your skin never becomes overheated.

This can have two reasons. One, the Thermal Sensor of the device has reached a temperature of 42-43 degrees. The device stops working to protect your skin from overheating. It will automatically turn on as soon as your skin has cooled down.

Two, the Slider Gel has dried up or you haven't applied enough Slider Gel. The Slider Gel ensures conductivity and at the same time protects the skin from overheating. When there is not enough Slider Gel, the device will stop working. Apply more gel to continue your treatment.

The total treatment time for one single treatment zone takes 15 minutes. Start at a low energy level and treat your skin for 5 minutes in order to get used to the heat. After that, you can gradually raise it to the energy level you are still comfortable with. Do this for 10 minutes.

It is important that you treat each area individually, one small area of your face at a time. This way the temperature on your skin remains constant.

Why should I apply Slider Gel before each treatment?

Your Silk'n FaceTite comes with a tube of Silk'n Slider Gel. This gel is required to carry out your treatments since it ensures conductivity. It is advisable that you apply the gel directly to the treatment surface of the device. Without the gel, the device will not work! The water-based gel also moisturises the skin, helps to guide the device and prevents your skin from overheating. As soon as the Slider Gel has dried up you will need to apply some extra gel.

If you decide to use another type of gel other than Silk'n Slider Gel, it is important that it's a basic gel that is transparent and water-based. Only when you follow these criteria will the Facetite device work optimally.

After treatment, you should gently wipe the gel residue off your skin, using hand drying napkins or a towel. You can also wash your face with some cleansing lotion and water. We recommend you also use a moisturizer to soothe the skin.

Yes, you can use the Facetite while enjoying the outdoors and sun, although it is always a good idea to use protection when exposed to the sun to maintain youthful skin!

Silk'n FaceTite works in a different way from laser, which means that there is no need for a recovery period. The chance of skin damage is thus greatly reduced. You can immediately carry on with your daily activities.

This device is suitable from the age of 18 and up. Please note: this device does not have a preventive effect. This device works best on visibly mature skin.

No, you don’t need to wear eye protection when using the Silk'n Facetite. 

To clean your Silk'n Facetite device, use a clean cloth or absorbent tissue to wipe the gel residue off the treatment surface. Always unplug your Facetite device prior to cleaning. Never immerse Facetite or any of its parts in water.
